The Bracebridge Library would like to thank everyone who supported and donated to this year’s Santa for Seniors program. This year the library worked with 6 different organizations including: The Pines, James Street Retirement Residence, Muskoka Hills Retirement Villa, Castle Peak, The Friends, and Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare.

Thanks to the outstanding people of Muskoka, 190 local seniors received gifts from their wish lists! We are blown away by the generosity of individuals and local businesses who helped to bring some holiday cheer to seniors in need.

With our Manna’s Wish List program, the Bracebridge community donated almost 400 non-perishable food items from Manna’s list of most needed items. The items will be going right back into our community and were delivered to the Manna Food Bank of Bracebridge just in time for the holidays.

This is the library’s second year running these two programs. This year, with everyone’s support, we were able to partner with more organizations, get more gifts to more seniors, and donate even more food to the food bank. These programs display the true spirit of Muskoka. Once again, thank you to everyone that participated in Santa for Seniors and Manna’s Wish List and helped to spread some holiday cheer to the community this year!
