The Youth Advisory Committee was formed to give teens a comfortable place to express their opinions about what the Bracebridge Library is currently doing and what they would like to see the library do in the future.
Committee members gain volunteer hours from participating in the program.
The committee meets every Wednesday from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Coulson Family Bracebridge Library.
The Visiting Library Service is a free service for some patrons who may be unable to visit the Bracebridge Library in person.
Patrons may request items such as books, audiobooks, DVDs, and magazines, among other materials. They will be delivered to their home at a pre-arranged time.
Staff who help with deliveries are required to undergo a security screening.

National Insect Appreciation Days run from June 8 to 13 annually. It’s an event that is sponsored by the Entomological Society of Canada to encourage public curiosity about insects and increase awareness of the insects that are present all around us. There are in-person events and a social media challenge.
Between June 8 and 13, participate in the “insect picture challenge” by posting a photo of an insect, using the hashtags #insectpicturechallenge and #nationalinsectdays, and challenging five others to do the same. Watch out for our “insect picture challenge” post on social media. Who knows, we might challenge you!
Looking for Insect reads? We’ve got you covered on Beanstack. Check out “Book Lists” under “Recommendations.” For teens and adults, we’ve got field guides and more great nonfiction titles about gardening and all kinds of insects. And for children, we’ve got picture books and fun fact-filled feasts for the curious or cautious.
But wait, there’s more! Look out for more insect programming this summer! Join us after hours to find out what flaps in the night – a dazzling diversity of moths! – with Moth Night or get the buzz on bumble bees with Bumble Bee Buzz!
