Anything But Ordinary: A Giant THANK YOU to the Best Community Ever!
We recently put out our 2026 Community Survey, asking for your honest thoughts on what we do, how we are doing, and what you’d love to see next. To say we are overwhelmed by your love, feedback, and support would be an absolute understatement.
Five years ago, we were a cozy little hub welcoming about 1,200 monthly visitors. Fast forward through a massive evolution, a dream move to our beautiful new library space in the Coulson Family Bracebridge Library in the Fall of 2024, and guess what? Our Library Community has grown by leaps and bounds! Today, we are seeing a mind-blowing 69% increase in active library memberships since 2021, and we now happily welcome between 18,000 and 20,000 visitors every single month! You are using the Recording Studio, solving puzzles, breaking into new hobbies with our programs, and turning our space into a true community hub.
You told us that the library is quite simply “a very happy place to be in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” and is “hands down the BEST library!”
The Big Takeaway? You LOVE Our Team (And We Love You!)
If there was one message that came through loud and clear across survey responses, it’s this: You think our staff is absolutely AMAZING!
When asked what you value most, you overwhelmingly pointed to our “friendly and knowledgeable staff,” calling them “the nicest staff anywhere,” and “incomparable”.
We pulled a few of our favourite shout-outs from the survey that gave our team all the warm fuzzies:
- “The resourcefulness of all the staff… they are ALWAYS cheerful and there to help.”
- “Everyone is so sweet, and is always so sweet to me and my children.”

What’s Next?
While we are absolutely thrilled to celebrate these wins with you, a survey is all about listening, growing, and figuring out how we can push the boundaries even further.
You gave us some fantastic constructive feedback that we are already brainstorming around. We hear you on wanting a fine-tuned balance for quiet reading areas versus our high-energy family zones. We take note of your requests for creative weekend adult programming, requests to keep our collection fresh and easy to find, and your thoughts around seasonal/weekend hours.
Our tagline is “Anything but the Ordinary,” and that means we are committed to constantly evolving to meet your needs. Thank you for taking the time to share your stories, your moments, and your brilliant ideas with us.
