To request your own Interlibrary Loans, you need to be a registered user of the Bracebridge Public Library.  An Interlibrary Loan account is also required.

Please read and accept the following terms of use before proceeding to create your account.

Terms and Conditions for Patron-Initiated Interlibrary Loans:
  • Patrons must check our library database to ensure we do not own the book before requesting an Interlibrary Loan
  • New books published within the last six months are usually not available through Interlibrary Loan.
  • The usual loan period is three weeks unless otherwise specified.
  • The request process can take anywhere from two to six weeks depending upon the availability of the material.
  • Renewals must be requested 3-5 days prior to the due date by contacting the Bracebridge Public Library in person or by phone.
  • Some libraries restrict lending of certain materials such as books on CD, DVDs, rare books, popular materials and fragile items.
  • Some libraries charge to lend their materials.  The library will contact you for approval if this is the case.
  • Loss of borrowing privileges will result if a patron is consistently late with the return of their Interlibrary Loans.
  • If you request an item through Interlibrary Loan and neglect to pick it up when it arrives for you, you will be charged a $5.00 fee.
  • Overdue Interlibrary Loans incur the same overdue fees as our own material.
  • The lending library will assess replacement charges on damaged and or lost items.
